My voice cracks when I try to sing?

I was singing along to Black Veil Brides - Fallen Angels and I
realized I couldn't reach the pitch of the singer. When I tried my
voice would crack UNBELIEVABLY. I can sing above and below it but not
in between. It's sort of like a higher than speaking tone. How can I
stop it?
