Grunge and rock fans tell me what you think of todays music and why you think music in the past was better?

E.g in the 90's Nirvana, Foo Fighters etc
or
The Who, ACDC,Guns N Roses,

Ive been listening to these compared to modern rock and it just doesnt
seem to have the same passion for music as they used to why is this?
Is it possible for things to go back to how they used to?
