At the end of the movie "Up", why don't they show Carl realizing that his house is safe?

The last he sees of it is it falling from the dirigible. Then it's
shown to have landed safely on top of Paradise Falls, just as his wife
wanted.

I wonder though, why Carl never discovers this. He just goes home in
the "Spirit of Adventure" dirigible and he never discovers that his
house is safe and on top of the cliff, just as he wanted.

Why didn't they show him knowing that his house is safe?
