SAG Foundation Presents a NY Conversations Event with "Fly Away"
Please come along for any screening of "Fly Away" then a Q&A with Director/Author Jesse Grillo and Cast People Junior Bourne and Reno. The big event is going to be Wednesday, November 16th at 7:00 PM in the NYIT Auditorium on Broadway, 1871 Broadway (Between 61st and 62nd Roads), NY City.Made like a SAG Ultra-Low Quality Independent film, and shot in fourteen days, "Fly Away" opened as 1 of 8 from 2000 distribution in Dramatic Competition in the influential South by Southwest Film Festival (SXSW) in Austin, Texas, this March. "Fly Away" immediately opened up later on, in limited theatrical engagement in key metropolitan areas, to rave reviews.The complex portrayals of the single mom and her seriously Autistic teen daughter (Janet Broderick and Ashley Rickards, who not really possess the disorder), together with a gifted ensemble (Greg Germann, Junior Bourne and Reno), were broadly famous by major experts, as "exceptionalremarkablefirst rateas natural as breathingThe stars are extremely exemplary it's tough to imagine this isn't a documentary," and "worthy of an Oscar Nomination.""Fly Away" informs the storyline of the single mom of the teen with severe autism, facing her child's adult future.
